Ms. Goliszek earned her BS in Chemical Engineering from the University at Buffalo. It was while serving as a teaching assistant at the University of South Carolina that she realized her passion for education and mathematics instruction. While earning her MS in Secondary Mathematics Education, Ms. Goliszek began her teaching career in the Rochester City School District. She taught math at John Marshall High School for 4 years before returning to the Buffalo area and teaching at Clarence Middle School. Currently an Algebra teacher at Clarence High School, Ms. Goliszek continues to draw upon her background in the sciences and engineering. She is passionate about infusing real-world scenarios into her classroom instruction and creating an environment that requires the application of algebra concepts as opposed to procedures. Ms. Goliszek is a member of AMTNYS and NCTM.
