Earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis – Oh My! Participants in this minicourse will be immersed in 3-dimensional, NYSSLS aligned lessons, that will provide an understanding of the geologic processes that lead to major events in the geologic and historical record as well as future hazard potential. Participants will assess the risks humans face in different regions, including local hazards, our contribution to hazards, and how we can minimize and cope with future events.
This minicourse is open to all teachers, PreK-12.
