If you don’t know what we mean by a “whiteboard,” it is a dry erase board that is 24” x 32 “ with the corners cut off for safety and a handle. Here are three representative links: http://physicsed.buffalostate.edu/AZTEC/BP_WB/ and http://discussionphysics.blogspot.com/2012/03/whiteboard-everything.html and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKcjuIUxwo4
These are great for group initiating, facilitating, and encouraging group discussions. Each year, as part of the physics teacher summer academy, we make boards. This year we are opening up the event to any Master Teacher who would like some boards for their classroom. The boards are already cut to size. We will cut the corners and make handles, then have a cookout. If you want to bring a dish to share, that would be great. BYOB, but we will have some water & pop. Each participant can take 12 boards.
